FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Got questions? We’ve got answers. Learn how Fast Track Tennis makes it easy to bring quality tennis instruction to any gym, school, or community space.

Q: What is the Fast Track Tennis accelerated learning program?
A: Our proven program is designed to teach basic strokes so that graduates have enough skills to be able to rally on a real court after only 10 classes.  Each student will get fundamental instruction on proper grip, footwork, wrist positioning, swing plane, contact point and follow through, and they will get approximately 3,000 repetitions using the patented Fast Track Tennis trainers.

Q: Who is this program for? What is the optimal age?
A: The program is designed for new students who have not played tennis before.  As a rule, it is targeted for middle school students but can be implemented for high school students and adults.  It is not recommended for children younger than 8 years old.

Q: How is this different from other programs?
A: This metrics-based program focuses on giving students the skills they need to get out on a real court and start hitting the ball back and forth.  We achieve this through a combination of sound fundamentals, fun activities and an unmatched amount of repetition to build muscle memory – each student will get approximately 3,000 hits.  And unlike traditional programs, we do not have students stand in line, hit a ball, go to the end of the line and wait for another turn, nor do we have time dedicated to picking up balls.

Q: How long is the program and how many students per class?
A: The optimal program is 10 total classes, each 1 hour in length, twice per week for 5 weeks, with a maximum of 12 students per class.

Q: Do we need to have a tennis court?
A: No tennis court is required.  The program is designed to be run in a school gym.

Q: Do we need to have a professional tennis instructor?
A: No, we have an e-learning course and certification process with video tutorials so that anyone can learn how to teach fundamentals and run the program.  For optimal results, the program should be run with a ratio of 1 instructor to 6 students or 2 instructors for 12 students (i.e. 1 certified instructor + 1 helper).

Q: Can anyone become a certified Fast Track Tennis instructor?
A: Yes, anyone can become a certified Fast Track Tennis instructor.  We teach you what you need to know to be able to help beginners get started.

Q: How can I get certified and how long does it take?
A: The e-learning course consists of 4 informational sections with 20 questions per section, all which can be completed in a few hours. The first section focuses on information about the sport of tennis, while the second section introduces teaching concepts.  The third section covers basic tennis fundamentals, and the fourth section discusses information on setting up and running the program in a gym.  The certification process is not intended to be difficult and the information learned is designed to be helpful as a tennis instructor.

Q: Why is it called the 1-2-3 Method?
A: The program is designed to be easy for instructors to teach and easy for students to learn.  We have distilled complex biomechanics into standard movements that can be described in groups of three, which are easier to remember than long complicated instructions.

Q: What is included and how much does it cost?
A: The standard program includes 4 Fast Track Tennis units, 14 junior rackets, 1 mini-net, 12 foam balls, 12 cones, 12 floor targets, instructor certification, structured 10-class lesson plan, and video library.  Please contact us directly to discuss price.

Q: How do we get started?
A: Please contact us directly so we can discuss your location, timeline and logistics.

Q: Will you continue helping once we purchase the program?
